I'm in a stats class this semester and have access to some kick butt software so I thought I'd take advantage of it while I can to get the low down on VFT growing styles. If you could take a moment to fill out this survey and post it here or pm me that would be awsome thanks.

Since I too am a CP grower, I will begin by answering the survey myself

1. I live in (general location)... Grand Rapids Area MI, USA

A=6inch, B= 4 inch gladware thing, C, D and E in 2 inch pots.

I grow them outside, 6hrs direct sunlight and under 14hr fluorescent (2 4ft tubes).

2. 3 months... I got a new VFT that was probably just out of TC and after a two months of having it in a terrarium I thought "Oh! They need dormancy!" So I put it in the fridge and it froze.

10. I also grow S. wrigleyana and a sundew.

13. My favorite cp is evidently the VFT considering i cultivate 8 different varieties.

14. My favorate venus flytrap is a variety called "Bigmouth" aka red purple-This plant grows huge (up to 2 inch) traps on short petioles. It's habit is prostrate. Yes this plant produces purple traps, that is if you have the authentic plant(something i am irresistable to boasting about.)

15. My collection has remained quite elusive to public eyes and my social life.........

1. I divide my time B/w Richmond and Roanoke, both in Virginia

2. I've had my VFT since last April, so... 9 months

3. I usually just fill the tray to within a CM or two of the rim. I'm not sure how much that is

5. 3 in pot, though I'll be transplanting them to a 6 inch pot once dormancy is done.

7. They all came in one 3 inch pot, and they stayed that way until dormancy came around. Now they're in the same plastic bag in the fridge (except the tiny one).

8. I grow them outside during the day in Roanoke, and under grow lights in Richmond (mostly thanks to my dorm's lack of access to the outside environment. I'm nine floors up, sso the university is out to discourage possible jumpers). On sunny days I put them on the sill, though.

9. I Use it. The AC unit in my room belches out Botrytis, so I have to be careful (Plus everything else with dormancy has gone wrong so far....).
