Is there any way to make traps more red?

I like the pictures of vfts with brilliantly red traps. I want mine to look like them, but even though my plant gets sun for about 10 hours a day, it's still green. It only has a slight pinkness in the traps. I know that some plants are naturally green, but I think mine has potential to be red. Is there any way for my vft to become more red?

12 hours of direct sun (Be careful with full sun though and watch the humidity) will do the trick. Also, get those varieties that turn red easily in the traps. VFT "Bigmouth," "G14," or "Dingley Giant" can have deep crimson traps within a month of full sun.

I've heard of the others, but what's a G14?
