Dead traps

In general, it's a good idea to cut off dead material, for both aesthetics and the fact that dead material can attract disease.  My general rule of thumb is wait for every last bit of colour to go from a trap before chopping it off.  The main point, though, is do  NOT cut off living growth.  I think that about covers it.
 
Yes I agree with Est. Just cut of black. The green will still synthesize and give energy to your terror.
