Water storage question...

A couple of weeks ago, we had a few days of rain, in which I collected two large buckets of rain water. After the buckets were full, I put a lid on 'em (to keep misquitoes from housing in the water) and placed them next to a wall...
now here is my question...
Will the buckets begin to get mossy or grow algea on the inside? If so, will this hurt the quality or safety of the rainwater for my VFTs??

You know in nature the plants live in bogs with all sorts of algae and moss. If anything the algae and moss will help purify the water!

*duh* lol awsome! Thanks abunch!! I wasn't thinking and just thought the moss/algea might put chemicles or something in the water, but you are right! It wouldnt be unnatural! lol thanks abunch

You could also cover the buckets with something opaque.

Thats a good idea!!!!

Seriously, no light - no algae. No access - no mosquitoes.
