Too much sun

they there ppl!

i was wondering if any of you lot could post some pics or offer any advice on VFTs that have been burned by too much sun.
Mine lives on the window sill, and i was wondering if the double glazed window would magnify the light intensity to such an extent that it would slightly discolour/scorch the leaves.

any reply would be much appreciated

kindest regards,

p.s. i keep the vft in around 2cm of water.
i have also got the same message at the cpukforum,

I would suggest giving it a little time, and seeing if any following leaves scorch. They may just need time to get used to the area they are growing in. It would definitely be better if we were there to see the plant to make a better determination, but that is a possibility.

p.s do they seem to have a ting of yellow or is it just me

i do have normal growing traps aswell lol....i dont have a circus VFT if any of you were thinkin that

looks like somethings had bits of your VFT for dinner, it looks like it was aphids but it could well be something else

Ya, looks like insect damage.

nothing to do with burning..
in fact, they look like they are getting too little light.
thats a pretty pale green..they could do with some more light!
(and its impossible to give a VFT too much light anyway..)

the deformities are some kind of insect damage..
can you see any sort of little buggers on the leaves?

Mine used to look like that constantly until I moved all the outdoor CPs to better sunlight... there's no such thing as "too much sun".. only too little sun. I know putting a UV-requiring reptile in the sunlight of a closed window is useless, since the glass filters out all the good stuff, so I don't see how it would be any different for a plant. How's the weather there? You should try moving it outside if it's not snowing or nothin'.
