S.oreophylla

I bought this plant ten years ago as S. oreophylla but I have never been convinced that it was pure. It grows to about ten inches tall, and has nice pitchers all through the growing period. In winter it does have typical oreophylla phyllodia. It has only flowerd twice and blooms died befor I could tell color or size.

It doesnt look like S. oreophilla to me. Most likely a complex hybrid that includes oreophilla somewhere. The ruffled edges of the hood indicate leucophylla, the general shape of the hood appears to me to be minor.

Still a rather attractive plant you have there.

Cheers
Steve

the prolific division could be a trait of S. oreophylla.

definitely some complex hybrid there, i'd guess. looks like it could have leuco, rubra, and I even want to say psittacina (very subtle influence), among other possibilities, including oreophila.
