Approaches for Sarracenia seed germination

I'd like to try a cold stratification by the following method and would like your opinions:

What I want to do is take like 10 species / cultivars of seeds and set up plastic containers with a layer of LFS, filled with water, placed in my cold attic, by a window sill. What I am attempting to simulate is seeds landing in water and living in that state through fall and winter, responding to the decline and then rise of photoperiod and temps for spring germination. Whaddya think?

Sounds like it should work Jim. Just keep an eye on them to make sure they don't sprout if you get a long warm spell before spring.
