I placed a small section of 'Betty's Bay' in the 'Othello' tray last year. It appears to be enjoying its new habitat.
Please excuse the focussing, I was shooting through polycarbonate.
This happy little chappy is a self set plant in the live sphagnum of the Darlingtonia 'Othello' tray. Traditionally the first of this species to flower annually.
For those not familiar with the species. the colour on the above is a little washed out as is the norm with photographs of blue...
As there are a few Darlingtonia in bud I thought I do a photo comparison of just a few of them to show the differences that when they are looked at singly may not be so apparent

This is a little intraspecies cross I made using 'Othello' as the pollen donor with my "Venom" ( pet name). Good to see a decent germination. Now all I need is a 50ft x 30ft greenhouse to grow the seedlings on in.

Seeds were sown 2/18/07, stratified in pinches of live Sphagnum moss, sown on LFS/perlite mix.
Several Darlingtonia californica seeds have sprouted including 1 or 2 of the 'Othello' cultivar (anthocyanin-free form).
