U. gibba grows very easily in just some distilled water. Terrestrials such as U. livida and U. sandersonii only need light, warmth and lots of water to grow. Not much humidity is needed at all. Tropical varieties are a bit more diificult to grow, needing more specialized conditions. Sub-tropical utrics can be grown in a 50/50 peat sand mix, and like to be water logged all the time. After conditions are right, they will flower non-stop.
