I received a d.capensis in the mail last Thursday.Since I have had it, the part with the tentacles has been getting smaller. It is receiving sufficient sunlight and is potted in pure spaghnum. Please help me with this problem.

OK..once upon a BACPS meeting I bought a S. Flava which had a D.Capensis and an unknown Utric in the small 3" pot.
Now what a month later? The Utric blossomed and its a U.Bisquamata, and under old cut off pitchers I found a tiny D.Intermedia..and to top it all off it's stuck with tons of live...
I just got a large amount of canadian peat for about 1/10 the cost of other bags. I got about 30lbs of it for $8. Is this stuff better then what we have down here? Are there any advantages to using it over say "miracle gro"?
