Hi. I'm looking to trade some nepenthes plants for some lowland or intermediate/lowland nepenthes plants.
What I have to offer:
N. Ampullaria x Ventricosa "Lady Luck" 17 inch leaf span
N. Spathulata x Campanulata 7 inch leaf span with 2 pitchers
N. Spathulata x Diatas 8 inch leaf span with...
The International Nepenthes Grex Registry (INGR) was an idea conceived and developed in an international forum conference on the internet forum www.pitcherplants.proboards.com in the later months of 2006. In August of the next year the proposal was presented at the Sarawak Nepenthes Summit 2007...
I've been looking for N. bokorensis for a while now, but I have not seen any available at the usual places I get Nepenthes from. PM me if you are interested in any of the plant I have available for trade.
Plants Available for Trade:
N. x 'Caesarion' - (veitchii x (merrilliana x truncata)
Hey guys this monster has 3 female flower stalks already opening the bottom most flowers so I need pollen ASAP! PM me with your pollen donors! 50/50 seed split
I do not know where this plant originated or what its true parentage is, so please don't ask. It likely has some N. alata in it as well...
So, someone pointed out to me the other day, that I actually have quite a significant collection of Nepenthes. Despite my affinity for Drosera, and other sticky predators..
This prompted me to go over and take a look at my Growshelf, and I was shocked... I have a lot of Nepenthes! :0o:
I set up a simple table with most all Nepenthes species broken into the five common categories; ultra-lowland, lowland, intermediate, highland, and ultra-highland. I have based the placement on altitudinal distribution mostly. I also have temperature range at the top of each category.
A usually taboid-y website had an article about new species of Papua New Guinea today, and it featured a pic of Nepenthes bokorensis!
Here's some photos from my collection.
N. bokorensis, and N. neoguineensis (Jayapura).
N. tomoriana (Sorowako), and N. rafflesiana (Bau).
N. suratensis (Tha Chana), and N. "viking" x ampullaria.
Two of my biggest "viking" seedlings. Still quite small, but with squat and colorful...
Well i have had a rough couple of days, so i took some time for myself and my plants and took some photos
Nepenthes spectabilis x aristolochioides
Nepenthes chaniana x veitchii
Nepenthes ephippiata (kinda retarded pitcher)
A couple of questions come to mind that I've been wondering for a while...
1. Is there such a thing as a lowland plant that tolerates and grows well in minimal humidity without a lengthy acclimation process? I have never ever had a lowland plant do well for me (except hirsuta) because of my...

This info came across the VCPS listserver & even though it comes across as blatant spam, anyone who has seen some of his other books & enjoys Nepenthes will cough up the bucks ... The email also had 21 beautiful color pics of Neps - however, I don't know how to share those pics w/o hosting each...
